Tens Children Join to Do 30-Day Reading Challenge at Kebon Sirih RTPRA

Tens children took challenge from Baca Jakarta by reading book for 30 days, from March 11 to April 11, 2020 in Kebon Sirih Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), Central Jakarta.

There are 10 children in each groups who participate in this 30-day challenge

Kebon Sirih RPTRA Coordinator, Farida stated, in this reading activity, her side divided the participants in two groups, children 7-9 years old and 10-12 years old.

"This activity encourages children who are usually lazy to read become enthusiastic about reading. It is because they feel challenged," she said on the location, Thursday (3/12).

For the 7-9 years old group, she challenged them to read for 15 minutes a day. While 10-12 years old are challenged to read up to 30 minutes a day. After that, they should summarize the contents of the book that was read.

"There are 10 children in each groups who participate in this 30-day challenge," she conveyed.

One of the participants, Angelica (9) seemed enthusiastic to do the challenge. Her side has started the challenge since yesterday.

"I hope other children can also join this event," she said.
